Real People, Real Solutions

We started IntelligentHubCore because we kept seeing the same problem everywhere. People earning decent salaries, working hard, but somehow always stressed about money. The budgeting apps were too complex, the financial advice too generic, and the education too academic.

How We Actually Started

Back in 2019, our founder Marcus was working as a financial consultant in Kaohsiung. He noticed something odd during client meetings. Smart people - engineers, teachers, small business owners - would come in with spreadsheets full of numbers but no real understanding of where their money actually went.

The breaking point came when a young couple, both software developers, showed up completely overwhelmed. They were making good money but somehow living paycheck to paycheck. After two hours of going through their expenses, we found they were spending 0 monthly on food delivery without realizing it.

That's when Marcus realized the problem wasn't mathematical - it was educational. People needed to understand budgeting in bite-sized pieces, not through complex financial theory.

Our First Breakthrough

We developed a simple 4-week program that focuses on one spending category per week. No overwhelming spreadsheets, no complex formulas. Just practical steps that actually stick. By 2024, over 3,200 people in Taiwan had completed our basic budgeting course.

What Drives Our Approach

We believe financial education should be accessible, practical, and honestly helpful. No get-rich-quick schemes or unrealistic promises - just solid fundamentals that work.

Start Small, Build Steady

We don't ask people to overhaul their entire financial life overnight. Our programs focus on one manageable change at a time. Track groceries for a week. Set up one automatic transfer. Small steps that create lasting habits.

Real Numbers, Real Situations

Every example we use comes from actual client situations (with permission, of course). We talk about weekly grocery budgets, not theoretical 0 investment portfolios. Our materials reflect what people actually earn and spend.

No Shame, Just Progress

Money stress is already hard enough. We create learning environments where people can ask questions without judgment. Made a budgeting mistake? Let's figure out what happened and adjust. Financial education should reduce stress, not add to it.

Local Context Matters

Budgeting advice from American websites doesn't always work for Taiwan families. We understand local expenses - from National Health Insurance to night market spending - and build our lessons around the financial reality of living here.

The People Behind the Program

We're not a huge corporation with fancy offices. We're a small team based in Kaohsiung who actually use the budgeting methods we teach. Marcus still does his own grocery shopping and tracks his monthly expenses using the same simple system our students learn.

Our course developers come from backgrounds in education, not just finance. They understand how adults learn best and design lessons that stick. We test every new module with real families before adding it to our programs.

Marcus Chen

Founder & Education Director

Marcus spent eight years in traditional financial consulting before starting IntelligentHubCore. He holds certifications in financial planning but believes the best budgeting advice comes from understanding real people's daily challenges. When he's not developing new course content, you'll find him testing recipes that fit into a weekly food budget - because our instructors should practice what they teach.
